Tahlia Howard

It was during Tahlia’s time at the Department of Defence where, with visibility of tendering and procurement, Tahlia further developed her passion for enabling economic independence for Australia’s First Nation Peoples. The need to enhance and develop opportunities for Indigenous business, and bring to attention to skills, knowledge and capability Indigenous Industry offer, not only to Defence but to Government and corporate Australia.

During her time in the Department of Defence Tahlia delivered opportunities to the Joint Training Environment through networking, value propositions and challenging status quo, resulting in delivery of innovative capability. Tahlia is known for her passion, positivity and drive, to deliver best results for all stakeholders, in a pragmatic, trusted and commercially sensitive manner.

Tahlia brings unique experience across private and public sectors, and seeks to apply her knowledge, strategic thinking and leadership skills to build a platform from which Indigenous Entrepreneurs and Business owners can excel, in Australia and globally.

Tahlia is committed to ongoing learning through networking, higher education, research and experiences. In 2016 Tahlia completed an International Marketing course in Norway which enabled broader, more expansion thinking in business management.

Tahlia enjoys regular surfing, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
